Finally Back East…
After the longest day EVER, Marc and I are finally in Lenox with my family. We left LAX International Airport at 12:40pm PST. Had a layover in Chicago (with a two hour delay), and arrived in Albany at about 12:40am EST. Nine hours of traveling on one of the busiest days of the year is not something I want to repeat ever again. Luckily, I had Marc to entertain me which made the trip so much better.
It’s a relief to be here, but it will be more of a relief when our checked bags get here. Yep, our bags are lost. They are supposedly somewhere in the depths of the Chicago-Midway Airport (or so Southwest Airlines claims), but I think Sushi Kun had something to do with our missing bags. He’s always getting himself into mischief
. Really though, I am hoping and praying our bags get here tomorrow. All (and I mean ALL) of my warm winter clothes are in them along with my brand new Camper boots and Nike running shoes Marc got me at Thanksgiving. Not to mention Marc’s good suit and a bunch of Christmas presents for family and friends.
Although there were a ton of mishaps today, I am still super excited. Why? Because I am celebrating Christmas with my family. And that’s really what the holidays are all about, right?
I leave you now with a photo of Marc, me, Sir Carlton and Sushi Kun from last night. We had a little pre-Christmas celebration with Marc’s parents since we couldn’t be with them on actual Christmas (note how silly the fat-heads look).
