Think Blue
Yesterday I attended my first baseball game at Dodgers Stadium and I had a blast! My friend Sara scored these amazing tickets so we were eight rows behind first base in one of those box/booths.

The Dodgers were playing The Giants and although the Dodgers lost (sadness), it was still a great game.

I got to try my first Dodger dog and I (of course) washed it down with a cold beer.

Never have I been so close to the field, and never has a foul ball come so close to my head! I really thought I was going to have to duck so the ball wouldn’t hit me.
One of the more exciting points of the evening was when the crowd went wild when Barry Bonds went up to bat. He ended up being walked to first and then he was replaced (he’s be injured a couple of times this year). Everyone booed while he was up at bat, and booed even more when he leaving, it was insane. I almost thought I was at at BoSox/Yankees game because the booing and chants were so loud! Here is a photo of Bonds right before his first ball.

The final score was 5-3 Giants. I forgot to snap a photo of the scoreboard before I left, so this is the best I got (top of the 6th).

I can’t wait to go to my next game! I think it would be great if the Dodgers played the BoSox (*keeping my fingers crossed* that both teams make it far this season so that can happen). I’m dying to show up to Dodgers Stadium decked out in my pink red sox hat and my 2004 champions t-shirt.
I’ve only ever been to one game (being in the uk) and that was in New York. Cold, raining and right as far back as you could possibly go.
But i still enjoyed it
Oh and…You may wanna go check my journal…There is a thing there about a social network I’m doing…and…*cough* new mini SB set.

Oxy: Oooh neat! I’ll go check it out now
Livie: If you come with me to a BoSox game I guarantee you won’t feel that way about baseball anymore. Trust me on this

I’m tempted to go the dodgers event later in the month, mainly to have a dodger dog. I was all excited, until they said we weren’t going to sit in the all you can eat section, but it might still be fun with a flask.

Shark: I totally forgot to mention that part, whoops! I can make you a cd of all the photos if you want
SexyBeast: I say go especially if you have never been before because it is so much fun! I do recommend pre-gaming at The Short Stop (awesome bar) if you plan on drinking a lot because drinks aren’t cheap at Dodgers Stadium and I’m not sure how strict security is about bringing outside alcohol into the stadium. I believe the bar is in walking distance so you can just park by it before you head over to the game. I also think there might some form of public transportation right by The Short Stop that goes to the stadium too, but don’t quote me on that

Caught your comment on the other site. I’m doing just peachy! Thanks for asking!
The Dodgers are in town here to play the Padres so I won’t be parking downtown any time soon. Looks like you had a friggin’ blast! It’s been too long since I’ve been to a baseball game. Mostly I just want a zen dog- one with everything. HA!

or you could just be easy and e-mail me the two photos of us, that would be simple

speaking of the padres, there are rumors that ichiro might be moving south when he becomes a free agent next season. anyone know anything about that?

Vinny: Mmmm…Zen dog…*drools*
Deb: You know, I’m pretty sure I heard that somewhere too, but I don’t know whether it’s just a rumor or not. Does anyone know for sure?
